We are thrilled to have a growing community at the Sales Leadership Forum. Currently, we have around 60 healthcare commercial leaders with 15-20 typically attending a monthly meeting.
Our members are responsible for the sales function at their companies and they come from across the healthcare industry. They lead a sales team and are also sometimes responsible for customer success, marketing and implementations. Their companies offer solutions to payers, providers, pharmacy benefit managers, and/or companies in life sciences. Many serve as advisory board and board of directors members. See our founder, Matt Whitnack’s profile for an example of an typical member: www.linkedin.com/in/whitnack
Our Sales Leadership Forum meetings take place once a month online via Zoom. They almost always occur on the third Thursday of each month 4:00-5:30pm ET.
We know our members are extremely busy and calendars change often. We encourage our members to join when they can and leave early if they need to. Most members add a comment in the meeting chat when arriving and departing.
Occasionally our members will coordinate meetups during industry events such as AHIP and HLTH. Members have expressed interest in planning an annual in person meeting and that is being explored.

We start our meetings by giving 1st time participants a few minutes to introduce themselves.

We then cover old and new business which typically takes around 5 minutes.

If we have a guest speaker, they go next. Our speakers are asked to make their sessions interactive. The length of their sessions will vary as it depends on the depth of their topic, how much member interest there is in their topic, and the amount of member engagement during the session.

We then go into a round robin where members have a few minutes to introduce themselves and make an ask of the group. Typical asks are things like members searching for a new role, promoting open positions, getting connected to prospects, or getting help raising money.

We then got into our member topics where members raise their more vexing challenges to get peer support and guidance. Typical topics include areas like compensation plans, go-to-market strategies, working with boards, team structure, ownership of upsells between sales and customer success teams, and using business development resources versus third-party vendors.

And finally, we ask for any meeting feedback and suggestions

The LinkedIn members-only closed group is the best way to communicate with members.
